Why Spanish?

Spanish is the second most spoken language in the world; more than 350 million people speak Spanish as a mother tongue.
- The demand to learn Spanish has doubled in the last 10 years. In 15 years there will be 500 million Spanish speakers in the world.
- There are more than 30 million Spanish speakers in the USA and it is still growing.
- Every year more than 55 million tourists visit Spain. Spain is the second most visited country in the world. The ability to speak Spanish enlarges the opportunity of enjoying everything that our country offers.
- It is also one of the most frequent languages used to do business and is one of the most important languages in international political meetings.
- It is the official language in 21 countries and it is an official language in the E.U., UNESCO, U.N.O., GATT, ONUDI & U.I.T

The Hispanic population in the United States has grown by 60 per cent in just one decade. At present there are 35,5 million Hispanics, representing 12,5 per cent of the total population.
- Due to this increase there is a growing demand for the media to be in Spanish: radio, television, newspaper, magazines, etc.
-- The Latin American countries are experiencing strong economic growth and they are becoming important commercial partners.
-- Spanish is the second world language as a vehicle of international communication and the third as an international language of politics, economics and culture.
- The demand for Spanish courses has doubled worldwide in ten years. br> - In the United States 13% of the population speak Spanish as their first language.

In the United States and Canada, Spanish is the most popular foreign language to learn.
- Spain has become 3rd most desirable country to live based on standard of living, health and economy.
- Spain has one of Europe’s fastest growing property markets (largely due to outside investment)
- Analysing Inter-European trade British, French and German companies cited language and cultural barriers as the main barrier to trade, with companies in those countries ranking Spanish high as a necessary language and culture to learn.
